Telehealth Available for Your Convenience.
I can treat most issues using Telehealth the same way I would treat an in-person visit. The exception, of course, would be hands-on work. You can now see me from anywhere without having to come to the office.
My patients have been extremely happy and pleasantly surprised with what can be accomplished remotely. Telehealth is especially convenient if you are limiting your physical contact with others, traveling, want to save time, or don’t wish to leave the comfort of your environment. Many have found that assessments while in their real-world environment to be exceptionally valuable.
Telehealth FAQ:
What is Telehealth?
- Telehealth is a way to have a virtual appointment from your home or while traveling. It is a great way to get 1:1 individualized assessment, treatment, and advice during the Corvid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
What platform is used for Telehealth?
- I am currently using doxy.me as a Telehealth platform.
- Doxy.me is:
- Easy to use on your phone, tablet, or computer.
- Secure and HIPAA compliant.
- Does not require downloading anything.
- Doxy.me is:
Is Telehealth covered by health insurance?
- During the Covid-19 pandemic, most health insurance companies are covering Telehealth the same way that they cover an in-person visit. Governor Jay Inslee’s proclamation has extended the telehealth parity to at least through December 31, 2020. What this means is that your insurance is required to cover telehealth the same as an in-person visit.
- Coverage of Telehealth may change so I recommend that you call your insurance to confirm and verify your physical therapy benefits, including Telehealth.
- Your physical therapy coinsurance, copays, and deductible still apply the same that they would for an in-person visit.
- For existing patients, all previously signed forms and financial agreement are still in effect with Telehealth.
- For new patients, you will need to complete all forms prior to your visit.
- The 24 hour cancelation/ no-show policy is still in effect with Telehealth. I appreciate your respect in giving me more than 24 hours if you need to reschedule your appointment.
How do I schedule a Telehealth appointment?
- You may use my online scheduling system if you are already an established patient.
- Please email or call me if you are a new patient or you would like an appointment but are not able to use the online scheduler. Email: mari@thrivephysicaltherapyseatttle.com, Ph: 206-524-1058 ext 3
- You will need to sign and return the Telehealth consent form.
How do I check in to my Telehealth appointment?
- I will send a link to our private online session on doxy.me/maript, at least 2 hours before your appointment. I will usually send the link the night before.
- Please log in 5-10 minutes early and run the 5 step pre-check test to make sure the video and cameras have access to doxy.me. If the camera or speakers are not working, first try closing out of all other virtual platforms and restart your computer. This clears up the issue most of the time.
